Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III, the Great, 336-323 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.11 g), Side mint, struck 325-320 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Reverse: Zeus enthroned left, holding eagle and scepter, wreath at left. Price 2949. In bold, high relief, lightly toned, with residual mint luster. And, another Alexander III Tetradrachm, from Mesembria, c. 125-60 BC.: type as preceding. Price 1124. On quite decent metal; toned. Lot of 2 coins. First a good Very Fine; the second a bit better.
