Lucania. Sybaris, c. 550-510 BC. AR Nomos (6.87 g). Bull standing left, head reverted, YM below, pellet and cable border around. Reverse: Incuse of obverse but for ethnic. Cf. Dewing 406; SNG Cop. 1388. Wonderful strike, in the best style, but extensive smoothing due to porosity and horn silver. Very Fine.
