Great Britain. Gothic Florin, 1853. Queen Victoria. S-3891; KM-746.1. Scarce date. Superb Gem Uncirculated, lovely pastel silvery gray and gold toning, unusually crisp strike including on the three leopards of the shield. Bought for comparison of the design against that of the "Godless" issue. Only a few Gothic florins have been certified by PCGS as being nicer than MS65, for they are truly rare so fine. PCGS graded MS-66.
