U. S. Coin Glass: Covered Compote on Low Pedestle. Central Glass Co., of Wheeling, W. Virginia, c. 1892. Dish and lid with attractive fluted and ribbed decoration. Encircling the lid are the fronts and reverses of 9 Seated Liberty quarters each, dated 1892, while on the base of the bowl are the fronts and reverses of 9 Seated Liberty Twenty Cent pieces, also dated 1892. The handle of the lid is made up of a "stack" of silver dollars (showing one obverse). The coin images are all frosted, and sharply molded. Height: 7"; Diameter: 6". In very fine condition, with only a few trivial chips. Lot of 2 items.
