U. S. Coin Glass: Covered Compote on High Pedestle. Central Glass Co., of Wheeling, W. Virginia, c. 1892. Dish and lid with attractive fluted and ribbed decoration. Encircling the bowl and lid are the fronts and reverses of 9 Seated Liberty quarters each, dated 1892. Around the lower stem of the pedestal are the fronts and reverses of 6 Seated Liberty dimes, also dated 1892. The handle of the lid is made up of a "stack" of silver dollars (showing one obverse). The coin images are all frosted, and sharply molded. Height: 10-1/2"; Diameter: 6-3/4". In very fine condition, with only a few trivial chips. Lot of 2 items.
