Nine Philadelphia Cartes de Visite: Seven of Soldiers In Uniform. Nine CDvs of seven men and two boys on a 14 x 11 inch album page with "Philadelphia April 1861" at the top. Five of the men are in uniform: Capt. John A. Koltes, Capt. Albert Schoenbein, 2nd Lieut. Barton Smith, Serg. Julius F. Sachse, and Serg. Miller. Corp. William Reuss and Charles Schaller are in civilian dress. One CDV has some hand coloring of the sash and drapery in the photo. There are also two CDvs of drummer boys in uniform; one of them is painfully young. Only one backstamp is visible: A. Kientzle, Philadelphia. All nine are glued to the album page. Very Good to Fine. An interesting Philadelphia Civil War lot.
Estimated Value $800 - 1,000.
