Delivered At The Request Of The Corporation of the City of New-York, On the 31st Day of December 1799. And Published by their Request. Published by John Furman, New York, 1800. Evans # 38002. Sabin # 50831. Size 8¼ x 4¾ in., 24 pp. Overall light toning, else Fine. Gouverneur Morris was a delegate to the first Provincial Congress in 1775 and attracted attention by his report and speech on the mode of issuing a paper currency by the Continental Congress. He was also a delegate to the Constitutional Convention and served in the U.S. Senate from 1800-1803.
