Rockwell, Norman (1894-1978) American illustrator, best known for his Saturday Evening Post covers showing slices of American life. Autograph Letter Signed, no place, no date, 1 pg., quarto. Written on manila paper to Walter Birchman, another illustrator: "Dear Birchman, Please forgive me. I'm full of wonderful intentions and I was grateful for the caricature. Cordially Norman Rockwell." Penned in blue ink; fine overall. Although Norman Rockwell material is common, handwritten letters are scarce.
