Braque, Georges (1882-1963) French artist who developed Cubism with Picasso. 7¼ x 4¾ in. waist-length image cut from a publication and affixed to cardstock, inscribed and signed in blue ink, "Pour Jessie Meredith, G. Braque, 1962." The ink in "Pour" is smeared; there is a lesser smear in the tail of the "q" in "Braque." A couple of folds and some light creasing, but boldly signed. Braque's signature alone is listed in Saunders at $685.
