(3) Jeannette Rankin, 2¼ x 4¼ in. Card Signed, with state (Montana) and date of 65th Congress (1917-19); she was the first woman elected to the U.S. House of Representatives (4) Margaret Chase Smith, First Day Cover Signed, postmarked 1966; she was the first woman to serve in both houses of Congress and the first woman elected senator in her own right (5) Wendell Willkie, 3½ x 5¼ in. Card Signed; datelined in another hand, 4/15/1942; light soiling (6) James W. Fulbright, 3 x 5 in. Card Signed as U.S. Senator from Arkansas, Feb. 15, 1955 (7) Barry Goldwater, 3 x 5 in.
