Snuff Box, c. 1850-70. European. A silver naval officer's cap with an anchor at top front and movable "braid"; the bottom is hinged at center, opening from the back to the center. Length of the brim is 2 3/8 inches; width is 1¾ inches and height is ¾ inch. The silver needs polishing, else very nice condition.
