Lot 122

"Alhambra Saloon" Razor, c. 1845-65. Straight-edge razor, 9½ inches open, with bone or walrus ivory handle engraved "Alhambra Saloon" with two dice on one side and a royal flush on the other side. The blade has a lovely etching of a paddleboat steamer, making one think that the owner made his living as a riverboat gambler. Blade close to handle is engraved, "Wostenholm & Sons / Ebro". A tiny piece of the upper handle is chipped and there are spots of rust on the blade, not touching the etching. Neat!
Estimated Value $175 - 225.

Realized $184
