Original Oil Painting of Bing Crosby's Horse. Original painting by J.N. Slick of Crosby's horse, Okoole Maluna, shown with a jockey on board and wearing the number 6. The painting was done in 1938; it is signed and dated by the artist at lower left. The 24 x 29 inch painting is housed in an ornate 29 x 34 inch frame. There is a small ¾ inch closed tear at the left side of the brown racetrack. Accompanied by a plaque that reads, "Okoole Maluna / By J.N. Slick - 1938 / From the personal collection of Bing Crosby." The plaque is encased in a 9½ 13 inch frame. Crosby (1903-77) was successful as a singer and actor. He also loved to play golf and was a renowned horse-racing fan; he founded the Del Mar racetrack. Very attractive and ready for display.
