Hadrian, 117-138 AD. AR Denarius, Rome, c. 124 AD. Good lot. Laureate head right. Reverse: Hadrian, in military attire, stands left holding spear and rudder atop globe. RIC 110; BMCRE 237; C. 1162. Finely centered on oblong flan, with portrait of good style. Faintly toned and lustrous. Also, a denarius of Commodus: struck 185 AD.; Laureate head right / Commodus on platform left, addressing three soldiers; RIC 130; C. 143. Good, bold portrait, the reverse a little flatly struck. Toned. Lot of 2 coins. Hadrian Choice Extremely Fine; Commodus Very Fine or a little better. Estimated Value $125 - 200
