Macrinus, 217-218 AD. Billon Tetradrachm (12.05 g), of Hieropolis, Syria-Cyrrhestica. Rare. Laureate and draped bust right. Reverse: Eagle with head right, wreath in beak; lion right between legs. Bellinger 106; Prieur 943. Nicely centered, sharp strike on quite good metal. The portrait very well detailed. Some trivial green deposits, mostly confined to coin's edge. Extremely Fine.
