Domitian, 81-96 AD. AE Semis, Rome mint, struck 86 AD. Scarce. Bust of Minerva right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet and aegis. Reverse: Owl standing frontal; S C on either side. RIC 308; C. 523; Sear II 2821 (this coin). Some occasional, barely noticeable smoothing to the fields. Nevertheless a superb, finely styled specimen with attractive dark green patina. Worthy of active bidding! Extremely Fine / Choice Very Fine. Estimated Value $350 - 450
