Claudius, 41-54 AD. AR Denarius, Lugdunum mint, struck 50-51 AD. Very Rare, and very choice! Laureate head right. Reverse: Pax-Nemesis, holding caduceus, snake at feet. RIC 52; BMCRE 62. Bold full strike, very well centered, on almost round flan. Excellent, well detailed portrait. Delightful reverse. Artistic toning, with touches of cobalt blue. Choice Very Fine / Extremely Fine.
