Macedonian Kingdom. Antigonos Gonatas, 277-239 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.12 g), Amphipolis, struck 271-270 BC. Macedonian shield with Pan bust blazon. Reverse: Athena Alkidemos left, brandishing thunderbolt. Dewing 1203; SNG Alpha Bank 986. Perfectly centered, tack sharp strike, with artistic toning. Probably an overstrike. Also, an Alexander the Great Tetradrachm of normal type, Boeotian shield symbol, Pella, c. 315-310 BC. (Price 248). Toned; obvious cleaning marks on reverse. Lot of 2 coins. Both Very Fine.
