Sicily, c. 470-425 BC. Lot of Two AR Fractions. Excellent lot. The first rare. From Akragas: c. 475-425 BC., Litra: Eagle left, on Ionic capital / Crab (SNG ANS 994). A perfect example in every respect -- with dark hoard patina. Also, Gela, 465-450 BC., Litra: Walking bridled horse right / Forepart man-headed bull right (SNG ANS 55; Dewing 602). Metal a little granular -- these dies unpublished. Lot of 2 coins. Coins range from Choice Very Fine to Extremely Fine. Estimated Value $225 - 325
