1856-O. NGC graded AU-55. A bright, yellow-gold, fully lustrous example. A lovely, high-end example of this date, kept from the Mint State level by some minor surface abrasions. The only noticeable flaw is a short, shallow scratch in the right obverse field which we mention only for pedigree purposes. One of the best known examples: NGC reports 10 at this level, 12 in AU-58, and only 2 in MS-60, with none finer. Estimated Value $4,000 - 4,500
