1872. NGC graded Proof 65. Wonderful toning on both sides. The obverse features a lilac center ringed in blue, with golden iridescence at the peripheries. The reverse is similarly toned, with a little more blue than on the obverse. Under a light source, the colors become vibrant and the reflective surfaces become blinding. Nicer examples exist, but few have the color and eye appeal of this Gem. NGC shows 11 in this grade, 7 in PR-66, and 2 in PR-67. Estimated Value $9,000 - 11,000
