Kidarites of India. Kidara, after 350 AD. Gold Dinar (7.8 g). King standing left, holding trident and banner. Reverse: Ardoksha enthroned facing, holding filleted wreath and lotus cornucopia. Göbl, Kushan 615. Appearance of unusually high karat gold, with brownish toning. Some double striking to reverse, but of interest for the deteriorated die on the verge of shattering. Note deep cuds at edges and rifts in the design. Essentially as struck. Extremely Fine / Choice Very Fine.
