Bar Kochba Revolt, 132-135 AD. AE Middle Bronze (25 mm.), Year 1, struck 132/133 AD. . Hen-678. Palm tree of seven branches, with two date clusters below; Hebrew inscription across field ("Simon Prince of Israel"). Reverse: Vine leaf with branch; Hebrew inscription around ("Year one of the redemption of Israel"). Hendin 678; Mild. 35 var. Nicely centered on oval flan; some striking weakness on one end. Fine deep green-black patina with remaining tan earthen residues. Very Fine.
