1861 $2.50 Liberty. Old reverse. Population of 8, 3 in MS-63 and 1 in MS-64. PCGS graded MS-62. Well struck, the reverse from an 1859 or earlier die and many times rarer than the "New" reverse type. A frosty example, lightly toned with a minor scratch in the field below the neck of Liberty. Popular "Red Book" variety that is seldom encountered in mint state grades (PCGS # 97794) .
