1842-C $2.50 Liberty. Population of only 4 with 5 higher. PCGS graded AU-55 H.W. Bass Jr. Collection. Although usually seen poorly struck, this example is nice and bold with excellent deep borders. Struck in natural greenish color gold with subdue mint luster and only light handling marks are scattered about. A most desirable high grade example of this rare issue (PCGS # 7724) .
