1861 Liberty Seated Dollar. PCGS graded Proof 66. Perfectly toned in a wondrous blend of blue and lilac colors, with some mottling near the centers that remind us of a clear, star-filled summer night. This is the only Proof-66 graded by PCGS. They've graded one finer at the PR-67 level, but it would take a lot of convincing to make us believe that any coin could be as visually attractive as this piece. Housed in an old style, green label PCGS holder, offering the tantalizing possibility of an upgrade. A definite treat for the connoisseur of toned coins. Front cover coin (PCGS # 7004) .
