1800 Draped Bust Dollar. NGC graded AU-50. Choice for the grade and completely free of problems, including nicks, dings, scratches, and obvious marks. Lovely lilac-gray toning with ample traces of underlying luster. Early bust dollars in such pristine condition are a real prize nowadays. This is one of Bolender's "Close Date" varieties, this die easily identified buy the small die chip that appears as a raised dot just to the left of the highest hair curl. Similarly, the reverse has some die chipping by the final S of STATES.
