Lot 612

1795 Flowing Hair Dollar. 2 leaves beneath each wing. PCGS graded AU-50. Struck on a broad, full planchet with a complete complement of denticles encircling both sides. The strike is nice and even, from dies that were in perfect parallel alignment. Soft traces of luster can still be seen around many of the design elements, particularly on the reverse. The color is an original, light, silver-gray, with traces of golden-brown toning on the obverse. Any wear is light and appears as softening of the color on the high points. The only flaw worth mentioning is a small dig in the right obverse field, just in front of and below Liberty's chin (PCGS # 6853) .
Estimated Value $10,000 - 12,000.

Realized $10,638
