Great Britain. Pattern Double Florin Struck in Gold, 1868. Victoria Coronet Head. A metric pattern engraved by William or possibly L.C. Wyon, the reverse partly reading "5 Francs International." Plain edge. WR-372. R4: 11-20 known. Like the WR plate coin, this specimen shows a wonderful deep cameo portrait set against glittering mirrored fields. It has a lovely, old-time mellow gold toning. Extremely rare! PCGS graded Proof 65 Deep Cameo.
