Ancient Rome. Lot of Silver and Bronze Coins, c. 105 BC. - 250 AD., of Various Denominations. Ideal for young collectors or E-bay vendors. A varied assortment, including two Republican denarii: L. Thorius Balbus (c. 105 BC.) and L. Scribonius Libo(c. 62 BC.). For the rest, there are examples of Augustus, Drusus, Nero, Vespasian, Domitian (denarius and sestertius), Trajan, Hadrian, Marcus Aurelius, Commodus, Julia Domna, an abundance of Caracalla, Gordian III, and Philip I. Additionally are found Geta, Severus Alexander, Maximus I, Julia Maemea, Trajan Decius, Volusian, and more. At least 20 of the coins are silver, Denarii or Antoniniani. Nearly half are attributed, the rest, largely Greek Imperial remain to be done. Many of the coins are very presentable, with Scribonius Libo denarius handsome and choice. Lot of at least 135 coins. Coins average Fine to Very Fine, a number less, some better.
