Lot 1109
1879 Indian Head Cent. NGC graded Proof 66 Red Snow PR-1. This is a bright gold beauty. The obverse is essentially flawless. The reverse shows a flaw under the T in CENT that, judging from NGC's opinion must be Mint caused. There is wide repunching on the 8 and 9 to the east. This die is later reground so the repunching and used on business strike pieces. These are listed as Snow-1.
