West, Mae. A Certificate on back of the frame indicates that "Babe" was West's hairdresser at Paramount. (1893- 1980) Actress. Throughout the 1930s a series of racy comedies, often with her own dialogue-script, exploited her voluptuousness for which she was often the target of the censors.

Superb Vintage Portrait Photo Signed. Sepia tone, cabinet sized print is handsomely matted and framed for overall size of 16 1/2 x 20 1/2". 1934. Piece is inscribed & signed "To Babe / Sincerely / Mae West" boldly in white ink in the lower right margin. Fine.
