[McGinnity, Joe] (1871-1929) Nicknamed "Ironman" for his endurance, McGinnity played for Baltimore, Brooklyn and the New York teams in both leagues. In 1903, he pitched 434 innings, still a National League record. In 1946 McGinnity was elected into the Hall of Fame.
