Darrin, Bobby. Creases down the center and across the middle from folding, otherwise clean. Popular singer of the late 1950s and 60s. Scored with hits such as "Dreamlover" and "Mack the Knife" went to #1 in 1959. In the 1960s, he left the "teen idol" scene for the more mature, but equally lucrative, Las Vegas club circuit. It was during these years that Darrin became a renaissance performer of sorts, as he ventured into screen roles, recorded folk songs, hosted TV programs and turned "covers" of hit songs by the Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan into Vegas lounge songs. He died in 1973.

Typed Letter Signed. One page, Octavo, on "Autograph" linen stationery. Includes personalized transmittal envelope (green), post-marked March 31, 1971, Los Angeles, CA. Signed "Bobby", boldly in black marker beneath the salutation. In full:

"Dear Otto, / Thank you for your kind thoughts while I was in the hospital. / PEACE, // Bobby Darrin".

Estimated Value $50 - 75.

Realized $63
