Zapata, Emiliano. Uncommon. (1879- 1919) Mexican revolutionary. He became a sharecropper and local leader, and after the onset of the Mexican Revolution he mounted a land distribution program in areas under his control. Along with Pancho Villa, he fought the Carranza government, and was eventually lured to his death at the Chinameca hacienda.

Document Signed One page, Quarto. circa 1916. In Spanish, extremely bold signature in black ink. Stamped "Ejercito Libertado, de la Repbulica Mexicana, Cuartel General." Standard fold creases, three minuscule holes along left side and two minor tears (not affecting document).
