Chagall, Marc (1887- 1985) Russian- Jewish Painter. Moved to USA during WWII, where he designed ballet sets and costumes. The word "surrealist" is said to have been coined to describe his work.

Envelope Signed First Day Cover--signed in black ink. The postage stamps are reproductions of Chagall's famous windows. Postmarked Jerusalem, August 21, 1973. Very Fine.
