Reagan, Ronald. The document has a large embossed gold seal of the State of California and is boldly signed "Ronald Reagan"along with the signature of the Secretary of State (stamped), Assistant Secretary of State, Deputy and Deputy Attorney General. Behind the cover document are supporting documents, which are removable. Clean and fresh as the day it was signed. Framed in burl wood against a crushed blue velvet background along with a color photo of Reagan and a bronze identification plaque. Overall size, 26 x 14½". 40th President of the United States, 1981-1989.
Partly Printed Document Signed. Extradition papers. California Governor Reagan extradites a suspect from Nevada for Child Stealing. Four pages, folio, n.p. (Sacramento), December 2, 1968. The document reads:
"Whereas, It appears by annexed application for requisition and copies of complaint and supporting papers … in accordance with the laws of the State of California…Vernon C.R. Nail aka Vernon C.R. Caudell stands charged with the crime of child stealing…and it has been represented and satisfactorily shown to me that the accused was present in this State and at the time of the commission of said crime and there after fled from justice of this State, and has taken refuge and is now to be found in the State of Nevada…Now, Therefore, Pursuant to the provisions of the Constitution and laws in the United States…I do herby respectfully demand that the said…fugitive from justice, be arrested and secured and delivered to this State, here to be dealt with according to law."
