Roosevelt, Eleanor (1884-1962) Diplomat and humanitarian, niece of Teddy Roosevelt and wife of Franklin D. Roosevelt, her distant cousin whom she married in 1905. She took up extensive political work during her husband's illness from polio, and proved herself an invaluble adviser to him when he became president.

Engraved Card Signed. Approximately 7 x 5 1/2", n.d., n.p. Features a vignette of the White House in the center, the former First Lady's signature is on the bottom right in black ink. Document is clean save a minor stain and some tiny creases, not affecting signature. Fine.
