Lot 177

Roosevelt, Eleanor. Normal age toning around the left border. Typed Letter Signed. One page, Octavo, on her Hyde Park stationery. New York. November 1, 1949. A short but prophetic letter written to Miss (Georgia) Long (New York, NY), in full:

"In answer to your letter I do not regret that the United States is losing business with Spain. - I will be glad to see you if you wish but I still think it would be unwise to do anything for Spain as long as Franco is in power. Very sincerely yours, Eleanor Roosvelt."

Very Fine.
Estimated Value $250 - 400.

Realized $242
