Hoover, Herbert C. Some fold creases but otherwise fine. 31st President of the United States, 1929-1933.

Typed Letter Signed. One page, Quarto, on personal letterhead, The Waldorf Astoria Towers, New York, April 1, 1948. In full:

"Dear Mr. Jessup: / I have your note of March 23rd and its enclosures. / I would like to be of whatever assistance I can to you in the matter you mention. However, I, as you may know, am chairman of this Commission on Organization of the Executive Branch of Government, and feel that I must exert and expend all my energies in that direction. I am afraid, therefore, that I will not be able to do much along the lines which you mention. / I am in hopes that have found my old friend, your Uncle Fred Walcott, improved. / With kind regards, / Yours faithfully, / Herbert Hoover".
