First year of issue 1854-S Gold Dollar. NGC graded MS-64. A frosty near-gem from the first year of issue of the fledgling San Francisco Mint. Delightfully well struck with full curls on Liberty's tiny head; and similar completeness on the reverse wreath leaves. Struck from lightly clashed dies on the reverse. NGC has graded 6 this high, with only 2 graded higher. A beautiful coin in every way; and certain to please the discriminating buyer.
