Roosevelt, Theodore. Also signed by John Hay as Secretary of State with large embossed white wafer Seal of the United States at lower left. An uncommon Presidential Cabinet appointment with margins full and untrimmed. In Choice condition. Matted and framed with an engraved plaque and a color print of his portrait in bronze. Overall size of 26 x 27". 26th President of the United States, 1901-1909.

Partly Printed Document Signed as President. One page, oblong folio, Washington DC, December 7, 1904. Cabinet Appointment.

President Roosevelt, having been resoundingly re-elected the previous month, desired to make some changes in his Cabinet. Having created the new Cabinet post of Secretary of Commerce and Labor the previous year, Roosevelt appoints Victor H. Metcalf as Secretary of Commerce and Labor (the second person to serve in that capacity).
