Cleveland, Grover. Accompanied by Transmittal Envelope, both in excellent condition with only slight soiling, the usual folds. Matted and framed with a steel engraving of Cleveland to an overall size of 18 x 20½. 22nd and 24th President of the United States, 1885-1889, 1893-1897.
Autograph Letter Signed as 24th President. Two pages, octavo, on Executive Mansion letterhead, Washington DC, October 16, 1896. Charming thank you letter to Frieda:
"I want to thank you for the palatable present you left at Grey Gales for us a short time ago. I took it on the yacht with me and allowed my fellow passengers to share it with me on the way. I assure you my generosity was much appreciated by the company and I think you ought to appropriate a part of the thanks I received from them…" .
