Louwelsa Vase. Height: 14-½". A bearded iris in shades of deep gold and orange surrounded by orange buds and lithe greens decorates this columnar vessel. The inscribed signature Hurst of artist Madge Hurst appears opposite the design, near the bottom. The Louwelsa Weller half-circle seal is impressed to the base, in addition to the numbers 3, 6 (or 9), 7, and 57. With some light surface scratching and a few minor chips to the glaze, but still nearly fine.
