Incredibly detailed etched planetary map showing the position of the five known planets, the sun and the moon at the time of Louis XIV's birth; with planisphere and various theories of planetary movement illustrated. Beautiful detail, wonderful text. "Tom. 1 No. 9" at top right corner.
Binder's stub removed at bottom 1/4, rest flat to verso surface; one area of paper thinning on verso (only -- text not affected); minor toning with incidental brittleness and a handful of scattered small tears at edges only. Three vertical folds somewhat noticible. Uncolored.
