Hagenbeck-Wallace Circus. [1930s], 29 x 20 in. Photo offset. Erie Litho & Ptg Co., Erie, PA. Featuring a lavish and extravagant spectacle: "Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt." Condition: A-/B+. Several small marginal tears and creased horizontal fold. Ringling Brothers perfected the presentation of an imagined historical event back in 1914. Here we have the Hagenbeck-Wallace version, rendered in a deft composition of costumes, crowds, and colors. Preserved in shrink wrap, mounted on board. A poster to be savored!
