Lot 1966

Al G. Barnes Wild Animal Circus. [c. 1932], 21 x 28 in. Photo offset. Erie Litho & Ptg. Co., Erie, PA. Featuring "The Famous Jackley Troupe In Bewilderingly Beautiful Living Art Creations." The image is, indeed, beautiful as the acrobats mold themselves into statues in a fountain. The image was used by Al G. Barnes more than one year (see #4727). The Jackley family had been famous as acrobats at least since the turn of the century. Condition: B+. Tiny tears at fold intersections, a few marginal tears, and tape remnants on top verso; also, a slightly darkened area at right margin, slightly affecting image, and minor paper remnants at lower edge from removal of date tag.
Estimated Value $350 - 500.
