Al G. Barnes Wild Animal Circus. [1930s], 28 x 21 in. Lithograph. Erie Litho & Ptg. Co., Erie, PA. Featuring 24 elephants performing in three rings; in the front ring, they create a pyramid; in the two back rings, they perform other stunts. Condition: Professionally restored to A-. The colors are vivid, with great eye appeal. This is one of the most popular circus poster images ever conceived. The artwork originated in the 1930s by one of the Erie artists for the Sells Floto Circus and was also used by Cole Bros.
