Lot 1953

Austin Bros. Big Railroad Circus. [1945], 28 x 21 in. Silkscreen. Central Show Printing Co., Mason City, Iowa. Featuring a large, snarling tiger. With attached date tag; "Waterloo" was added over the original city. Condition: B; a 2¼ in. tear closed with transparent tape to the left of "Austin"; three tape remnants just reach into background at top edge, and some faint stains and small tears in borders. Austin Bros. operated under that name only in 1887 and 1945. One of the 1945 proprietors, Ben Davenport, owned various other circuses, including Dailey Bros.
