Lot 1919

London Palladium. A vintage poster, 12½ x 20", for The London Palladium, May 14, 1934, with a line-up headed by the Mills Brothers, Sophie Tucker, Billy Bennett, and others. Near excellent condition. The Mills Brothers had given a Royal command performance at the Palladium on May 8 for George V and Queen Mary. They became a singing sensation in the 1930s with hits such as Tiger Rag, You're Nobody's Sweetheart Now, and Lazy River. They were the first African Americans to host their own radio show.
